The Power to Become the Sons of God

Animatin of John 1:1-13

This animation was brought about because I could not bear to hear the issues of our salvation reduced to a shoe-in cakewalk, when every word of the prophets, many times throughout the Gospels, and specifically stated and declared in the letters to the Churches in Revelation that such is not the case. We are given the power to 'become' the sons of God, beginning with having the Scriptures opened to our understanding, followed by the obedience of the cross, that brings forth the love of God in our hearts. It is this process that makes us the sons of God, and it is this process that sorts out the wheat from the tares, the servant from the son.

The parable of the Ten Talents or the Pounds makes this plain and obvious, as do many others. To call upon the name of Jesus, and reject the taking up on the cross to follow after Him is to call upon His name in vain, because the cross is the power of God unto salvation for all who believe. You cannot be a disciple without it, and to reject our Lord's commandment to take up our cross and follow Him is a violation of the commandments of God that will be met with it's just and due consequence. The Great Tribulation that is even now at our doors is for just this reason, and this purpose.

The Pharisees entrusted their salvation to the patriarch Abraham. However Paul soundly reduced that argument to ashes in Romans Chapter 9. Christians dare not take the same stand by saying that 'they are in Christ', where there is no fruit nor witness to that declaration. These will be the ones that will kill their brother, thinking they do God a service, just as the Pharisees did unto their Messiah.

Jesus Himself warned that those who did not bring forth fruit would be pruned out and cast off. Those who continued in their hypocrisies would be cast out into outer darkness. Those who are clouds without rain will abide in the mist of darkness, twice dead, and those who do not have a love for the truth will be damned along with the other unbelievers. The salvation that was purchased for you was paid for with a great price that we do not even begin to understand. God the Father will not permit you to mock or belittle that gift through your rebelliousness, your refusal to know or your rejection of the truth. The history of Israel was given to us in the Old Testament as an example. Why do we persist in believing that those judgments will not apply to us even more so, who have had the indwelling life and spirit of the Almighty God given to us?

I did this animation in an effort to show the truth of how it is that we are made the sons of God, in the hopes that some would begin to recognize that there is a difference, and would begin to seek unto the Lord to obtain that which made the difference.

We are at the times of the in-grafting of Israel. Heed these words of admonition and warning:

Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest He also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in His goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. [Romans 11:19-22]

To continue in God's goodness is to continue to pursue the knowledge of Him with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul and all your strength, for He has no pleasure in those who draw back. If Paul the Apostle could say in his last days that he had not yet apprehended that which Christ had taken hold of him for, then how much more us.

The Church has been spouting a 'Replacement Theology' for some time now. Beware, for we have had it backwards. If anyone is to be replaced, it will be us, if we do not wake up to some of the funamental truths of the way of the cross and return to the root and foundation that is the faith of Jesus Christ.

Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. [Romans 11:18]
