Be Renewed in the Spirit of Your Mind
The holy city of God is described as being a perfect cube [Rev. 21:16]. The tombs of the Egyptians were pyramids. The difference between a mind that is holiness unto the Lord and and Egyptian tomb is the knowledge of the truth of the Lord your God. Stated another way, it is the knowledge of the truth of the Lord your God that delivers you from the frip of death. Remember that Eve was deceived unto death through doubt of the truth of God. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. [James 1:8] Still don't understand ? Look at crowns that each wears:
The head dress of Pharoah, symbol of his position and authority consists of two snakes. The head dress of the High Priest of God, symbolic of the authority of his position, consists of a golden plate inscribed 'Holiness to the Lord'. That golden plate refers to a purified faith, that has been renewed to the truth of the knowledge of God, which is what was lost in the fall. We are called to be renewed in the spirit of our minds. This is not a mere concept. It is a vital truth. It is what we believe that keeps us bound and enslaved to Egypt, whether we be in it nor not. The purpose of the wilderness wanderings of the Israelites was to get the Egypt out of them, now that they were out of Egypt. The lies that you believe are what will keep you bound to a life that is occupied with the flesh and it's concerns, which are and only ever will be of this world and life, for that is all it has. Our great hope and promise of God is that we will be given new bodies in the resurrection. One of the great curses that were the result of rebellion and transgression against the law was that we would be made the tail, and not the head. Translated, we would obey the lusts of the flesh, and not have the dominion over it. This is the glory of our salvation in Christ Jesus ~ that we, in Him, and through the power of His life and Spsirit in us, have strength and ability and power and might to overcome the lies and deceptions of the flesh that keep us bound in darkness, that we might become renewed unto the truth and the reality of the life that is of God, and not man.
